Before She Plays with Fire was a reality, it was a spark- something I couldn’t ignore. I’ve always loved small business. I grew up in a family-run business that my dad started with my grandpa in the 70s. I worked in accounting there, while also majoring in entrepreneurship. I recognized from an early age that the freedom entrepreneurship offered was something I wanted for myself, and others.

But here’s the real reason I started this business: I believe that when women are financially stable, they’re safer, freer, and more powerful. In grad school I studied preventing violence against women, and hands down the best way to help women stay safe was to set them up with financial freedom.
When women had their own money they could make decisions that took care of themselves and their children. They could leave bad situations. They could invest in education and opportunities for greater financial stability (and often did)…it all came down to being able to go. All women should have that freedom. I don’t just serve women, but I know women are far more likely to be disadvantaged, while also being told they aren’t worthy of showing up. YUCK!
Branding- when it’s done with intention- can be one of the fastest ways to build that kind of financial power. Because when your audience sees the real you and gets why you do what you do? They trust you. They hire you. And you grow.

I’ve had those moments…walking into networking spaces, shrinking myself, feeling like an imposter. Then someone recognizes me from my photos and videos on Instagram, tells me how I’ve impacted them, and I suddenly remember: oh yeah. I am the real deal. I am powerful. I want that for every woman I work with: the confidence, the clarity, the “I’ve got this” energy that sticks.
So when we work together, it’s not just about getting cute photos. It’s about building a brand that helps you show up, stand out, and sell with soul.
